The café in the heart of town
We invite you to discover an exciting café in the town centre: The Lounge.
For the locals, The Lounge is one of their favourite eateries for breakfast, lunch and light dinner. It’s also a popular venue for many types of events, public and private. Business professionals and students alike are regular guests at The Lounge – and so are couples, families, groups of friends or colleagues, and tourists who have discovered The Lounge.
The friendly café is situated on the ground floor, right inside the main entrance of Park 22. The menu is based on ingredients from local suppliers. The chef, Synnøve, makes everything from scratch, and she has a flair for incorporating Asian flavours, giving recipes her own twist. The Lounge is fully licensed, offering a range of beers, wines, classic drinks and local concoctions.
The café also offers takeaway. Feel free to book a table. If you’re in a hurry, you can order your food in advance so it’s ready to serve when you come – or grab your food as takeaway. The Lounge also sells gift cards.
The names of the dishes on the menu reflect our love of music, as well as our appreciation of exciting flavours. Beverages available include a great coffee selection, teas, milkshakes and mineral waters. Our offerings include “Noe i gjære”, a locally-produced drink. You will also find delicious macaroons and sugar-free chocolates from Han Steike in the village of Korgen, eggs from Midtstraum Farm, meats from H.A. Hanssen, and pizza topped with reindeer meat from ARV. Our menu underscores that we celebrate and applaud these and other quality-minded local suppliers.
Outdoor dining is available whenever the weather allows. Enjoy sitting in a sunny spot on the nearby grass or, if you prefer, under one of the trees.

Other venues in Park 22 that are well worth visiting include Galleriet. It accommodates 60 people and can be rented for your event with, of course, the culinary services that will ensure the event’s success. In the building you will also find Byscena (the Main Stage) with an adjoining bar, both of which can be rented for various events. Feel free to leave all the details, large and small, to our experienced staff – and your event is sure to prove memorable.
Catering
The Lounge offers catering for all types of events: conferences, company celebrations, birthday parties and weddings. And we’ll gladly tailor the food to the needs and desires of your group.
We are fully licensed. Thus our offerings include a good range of wines, beers, classic drinks, and locally produced beverages. Of course we also brew excellent coffee, and offer tea and mineral water.
Synnøve has a talent for Asian flavours and her exciting combinations will spice up your luncheon meeting, or will make your evening event extra special.
We have also hosted events with pop-up chefs – there are many exciting culinary options. Feel free to contact us to discuss the options and possibilities, and to offer your suggestions and requests.
